Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a trip to address defense personnel in the Pokrovsk area on Tuesday. Zelenskyy announced that he consulted soldiers at the operational headquarters of the 1st Corps of the state defense force Azov, which is leading defense efforts in the Dobropillya area, an urban center approximately a short distance from the focal point.

Volatile Conditions in the Area

Geospatial data from a local initiative indicated that invading troops had pushed further into the city and surrounding areas, though much of it remained beyond firm control by any party. The conditions are severe, with updates indicating that opposition troops were digging in and enhancing fortifications in certain areas.

Russian forces are pushing forward in the Pokrovsk front and seem to be functioning with increasing comfort within Pokrovsk itself.

Research institutes noted that national troops had liberated a significant portion of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya front, on the eastern edge of the Pokrovsk effort.

National Drone Strikes Inside Russia

Ukrainian long-range drones attacked an industrial plant approximately 1,300km inside the federation at the city. Local officials reported an explosion at the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant that resulted in structural damage to partially collapse, adding that the cause of the explosion was undetermined. The Ukrainian military general staff stated there was extensive harm to the facility.

Defense units said it struck a petroleum facility at Kstovo in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region east of Moscow. The degree of impact was currently analyzed. The local official confirmed an attack by multiple unmanned aircraft near the refinery.

Ukrainian Leader's Appeals for International Support

Zelenskyy appealed to Washington to remain open to providing Ukraine with long-range weapons. Speaking at an EU meeting from the Pokrovsk area, the head of state also requested more international restrictions on the federation – including on the energy and atomic industries – and said he wanted Ukraine to join the EU before 2030.

International Aid and Foreign Policy Changes

The European nation plans to boost armed assistance to Ukraine by three billion euros next year to about €11.5bn, the finance ministry in the capital said on Tuesday. This comprises, among other things, artillery, aerial vehicles, protected carriers and the exchange of missile defense equipment.

Scandinavian arms producer Nammo has established a cooperation framework with a Ukrainian industrial partner to make, design and market arms in the country.
