Nineteen of the Russian's 21 victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev secured his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has had a challenging season, winning just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a setback at the New York tournament.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serving in especial - caused him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately splitting with long-term trainer his previous coach.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought three-set victory over Frenchman Moutet.
It is his maiden championship following the Italian tournament and initial on a hardcourt from March of 2023.
Victory also means the Russian has won twenty-one victories at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters simultaneously, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," commented ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had lost his previous six finals, comprising in the German tournament in the past months.
Medvedev's defensive play style and regular outbursts on the playing surface had caused commentators to question if his capacity to compete at the highest level was over.
But the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and play aggressively, supported by an enhanced serve.
The champion fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, winning four of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
The pair traded service breaks in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his maiden professional victory, seized the initiative to force a third set.
Moutet defended 4 early-game opportunities in a competitive final set before Medvedev secured a break to 15 to close out the victory.
Fittingly, he secured victory with a shot at the net area, with his opponent failing to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
